Hand woven Beni Ourain rug crafted by Berber 'Amazigh' women weavers on traditional upright looms using luxuriously soft 100% indigenous wool.
These skilled artisans are members of our women's cooperative, a fair-trade, ethical enterprise located in the foothills of Morocco's High Atlas Mountains close to Marrakech.
This rug is freshly woven on order, requiring up to five master weavers around 4 to 6 weeks to weave. Professionally cleaned prior to dispatch.
Your rug is entirely hand woven using 100%, indigenous Moroccan wool with yarn that has been hand-dipped in locally sourced dyes, resulting in unique and beautiful variations in color and pattern.
When cut off the loom, your rug will shrink around 1-4" inches, but we will do our very best to get it to your purchased measurements. Measurements do not include the length of the tassels, which are are around 4-5" inches long.
Prior to dispatching we will wash and brush your rug, ensuring that it is super clean and gorgeously soft.

Vacuum the rug as needed, preferably weekly. Clean any spillages immediately by dabbing with a paper towel followed by some baking soda. Brushing it down with a hand broom brush will give it a quick refresh.
Have the rug cleaned professionally every two to three years.
